2371 tests +ve in Assam on Monday including 105 in Cachar, state tally goes upto 45,275

August 3: On Monday, 2371 new COVID-19 positive cases reported from across Assam. With this, the total number of coronavirus cases in the state has gone upto 45,275, out of which, 12,779 are active. Further, 4 patients died during the day due to COVID-19, thereby taking the death tally to 109. On Monday, 105 positive cases were reported from Cachar district.

In a tweet, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Alert ~ 2371 new #COVID19 cases detected out of 41958 tests conducted in last 24 hrs. Positivity rate~ 5.65% Max case~ Kamrup (M): 414, Dibrugarh- 282, Nagaon- 251, Kamrup (R)- 192.”
