2,294 found Covid +ve in Assam, 5497 discharged & 22 deaths registered on Saturday

Jan. 29: On Saturday, out of 35,777 tests, 2,294 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 7,13,685. The positivity rate in the state is 6.41 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 535 positive cases during the day. Further, on Saturday, 22 died in the state due to COVID-19. The death toll in the state stands at 6,422. The recovery rate is 94.88 percent. Also, 5,497 persons were discharged during the day. There are at present 28,788 active Covid patients in the state.

It needs mention here that on Friday, 2,861 persons tested positive in Assam and 21 deaths were registered.
