2243 patients test +ve in Assam on Wednesday, tally rises to 1,33,066

Sept. 9: On Wednesday, 2243 persons tested positive in Assam on Wednesday. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has gone upto 1,33,066, out of which, 31,428 are active cases. In a tweet, State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Alert ~ 2243 #COVID cases detected today out of 31562 tests done in last 24 hours Positivity Rate- 7.10% Kamrup M- 641; Dibrugarh- 170; Jorhat- 140; Lakhimpur- 106.”

Further, Assam registered a huge number of 18 deaths due to COVID-19 on Wednesday, thereby taking the death tally of the state to 396.
