2,228 tests Covid-19 +ve in Assam on Sunday, 4,076 discharged & 37 deaths registered
There are 49,518 active cases in the state
June 6: On Sunday, out of 73,648 tests, 2,228 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 4,34,942. The positivity rate in the state is 3.03 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 309 positive cases during the day. Further, on Sunday, 37 more persons lost their lives in the state due to COVID-19. With this, the death toll in the state reached 3,658. The recovery rate is 86.46 percent.
It needs mention here that on Saturday, 3,781 persons tested positive in Assam and 44 deaths were registered.
On Sunday, 4,076 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 3,80,419 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam. The recovery rate in the state is 87.46 percent. At present, there are 49,518 active cases in the state.

Further, during the day, 37 patients died in Assam due to COVID-19. Out of the 37 deceased, 06 are from Tinsukia, 04 from Sonitpur; 03 each from Cachar, Kamrup Metro & Nagaon; 02 each from Darrang, Sivasagar & Udalguri; 01 each from Baksa, Biswanath, Barpeta, Bongaigaon, Charaideo, Dhubri, Dibrugarh, Goalpara, Hailakandi, Kamrup Rural, Karbi Anglong & Lakhimpur. The death tally of the state now stands at 3,658.
