22,081 candidates in LP & 13,219 appear in UP TET at 60 centres in Cachar; 4 expelled
Oct. 31: The Assam Government conducted Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), 2021 for Lower Primary (LP) and Upper Primary (UP) on 31 October (Sunday). In Barak Valley, the examination was conducted only in Cachar district. A total of 37,305 candidates applied for appearing in the TET in Cachar district on Sunday.
Out of the 37,305 candidates, 23,282 of them applied for LP TET in Cachar. However, 22,081 candidates appeared in the examination. 1,201 candidates were absent. Further, 3 candidates were expelled in Cachar district for adopting unfair means. Whereas, 14,023 candidates applied for UP TET in Cachar, out of which, 13,219 of them were present. 804 candidates were absent. 1 candidate of UP TET was expelled in the district.
The Cachar district administration arranged strict security arrangements for conduct of the examination. Jammers were installed in all the centres. Inspector of Schools Cachar informed that the examination was conducted smoothly and there were no report of any untoward incidents in the district.
