Voting for the final phase begins in 40 constituencies in 12 districts of Assam

There are 337 candidates in the fray including 6 ministers contesting from 40 constituencies. Voting has begun in 11.401 polling stations in the 12 election districts. A total of 79,19,641 lakh voters would be exercising their franchise during the day. The polling for the first phase of the Assam Assembly election was held on March 27 while the second phase of the election was held on April 1, 2021. Out of the 337 candidates in this phase, 25 of them are women. The counting of votes will be held on May 2, 2021.
