2198 patients discharged in Assam on Thursday
Oct. 8: On Thursday, 2198 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 1,59,833 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. At present, there are 30,767 active cases in Assam. In a tweet, State health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “2198 patients discharged today ~ more than 2000 recovered patients sent to their families in #Assam for the 2nd consecutive day. Good work medical team.”
On Thursday, 1188 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now reached 1,91,397. During the day, 32,408 tests were done in Assam. Moreover, during the day, another 09 persons in the state died due to COVID-19, thereby taking the death tally of Assam to 794.
