2148 patients discharged in Assam on Wednesday
August 26: On Wednesday, 2148 patients were discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care Centres in Assam. With this, a total of 76,962 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged in the state. In a tweet, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “2148 patients discharged today. Feels great to see so many recovered patients meeting their loved ones! Best wishes to all.”
Also, 2179 new cases of COVID-19 were detected from various parts of Assam. With this, a total of 96,771 positive cases were detected as of now in the state, out of which, 21,680 are active cases. Cachar district registered 136 positive cases during the day. Further, 14 more cases of deaths due to COVID-19 were reported in Assam. The death tally of the state has now gone upto 274.
