21 trains including Silchar- Guwahati Express to resume service

July 20: Northeast Frontier Railway has decided to resume the services of 21 trains (both up & down) which were cancelled due to breaches in several locations of Lumding- Badarpur section of Lumding section. 15616 Silchar- Guwahati Express will resume service from 22 July, whereas the 15612 Silchar- Guwahati Express will operate from 24 July.

With the resumption of train service between Silchar and Guwahati, people of states like Tripura, Manipur and Mizoram too will be benefitted. The Railways have restored the damaged tracks and railway stations due to landslides at a record pace.
