2068 patients discharged in Assam on Friday
Oct. 9: On Friday, 2068 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 1,61,901 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. At present, there are 29,710 active cases in Assam. In a tweet, State health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Amazing! 2068 patients discharged today! 84.14% of total patients have recovered now. Our Positivity Rate is also decreasing day by day. Gratitude to doctors!”
On Friday, 1019 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now reached 1,92,416. During the day, 31,586 tests were done in Assam. Moreover, during the day, another 08 persons in the state died due to COVID-19, thereby taking the death tally of Assam to 802.
