2045 patients cured in Assam on Saturday

August 22: On Saturday, 2025 patients got cured and subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care Centres in Assam. With this, 67,641 patients were discharged till date in the state. In a tweet, State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “2045 patients discharged today Feeling content! My best wishes to all recovered patients. Stay fit & blessed.”

1560 persons tested positive in Assam. With this, 89,468 persons tested positive in the state till now, out of which 23,635 are active cases. Further, another 7 deaths were registered in the state, thereby taking the death tally of the state to 234.
