2 rooms damaged & 1 injured in an explosion at Star Cement factory at Lumshnong

Dec. 13: One person sustained injury and two rooms were partially damaged in an explosion which occured in the factory of Star Cement at Lumshnong in Meghalaya’s East Jaiñtia Hills district. East Jaintia Hills Police Superintendent (SP) Deepak Kumar Palecha informed that the explosion took place on Saturday morning. The police are investigating to ascertain the exact cause of the explosion. It needs mention that Star Cement is one of the large cement manufacturers in Northeast India.
