CM visits assaulted doctor Seuj Kr Senapati at GMCH, assures posting of his own choice
June 5: Assam Chief Minister, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday paid a visit to Hauhati Medical College & Hospital (GMCH) and went to meet Dr. Seuj Kumar Senapati who was recently physically assaulted in a Covid Care Centre in Hojai.
Expressing his views, the Chief Minister said, “Government of Assam stands firmly with doctors & medical fraternity who are leading from front in this pandemic with remarkable dedication. Assam Police has already initiated action against perpetrators. There will be zero tolerance against any assault on our doctors & healthcare workers.” The Chief Minister further assured the family of the wounded doctor that he would be allowed to serve in a health institute of his own choice.

Taking to his twitter handle, the Chief Minister wrote, “Visited #GMCH to inquire about health of Dr Seuj Kumar Senapati, who was brutally assaulted by family members of a deceased patient on Tuesday.
