2 more bus passengers test +ve in Cachar, total rises to 58 in Assam
May 8: Two more bus passengers who came from Ajmer Sharif to Cachar were tested positive. This was tweeted by Health Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma. With this, the total number of COVID-19 positive cases in Cachar has gone up to 11. Out of them 1 patient was discharged and 10 are active cases. State wise, there are 58 active cases in Assam as of now, out of which 23 are active cases.

Sharing this information, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted, “Alert ~ There are 2 more #COVID19 + patients who travelled in the bus which ferried people from Rajasthan. They’re from Cachar district. Total #COVID19 patients in Assam 58. Active cases 23.”
