2 found Covid+ve in Karimganj & 1 in Hailakandi on Wednesday

Dec. 8: Hailakandi is gradually inching towards a Covid free district. On Wednesday , Hailakandi registered 01 new COVID-19 case. The district has altogether has 03 active COVID-19 cases. During the day, 354 RAT tests and 20 RT-PCR tests were done. No patient was discharged during the day. With this, the district tally of Covid cases has now reached 7,924 (both 1st & 2nd wave).

As of now, a total of 4,495 patients were discharged. It needs mention here that no person was found positive in Hailakandi on Tuesday. Till date, 51 persons died due to Covid-19 in Hailakandi district.  A total of 2,260 persons were vaccinated on Wednesday.

Karimganj registered 02 fresh COVID cases on Wednesday. The district has currently 09 active COVID cases, while no patients were discharged from hospitals and home isolation on Wednesday. 560 swab samples were collected during the day. It needs mention here that no persons were detected positive in Karimganj on Tuesday.
