There are 5 active cases in Cachar
Feb. 19: The number of coronavirus cases in Cachar district is gradually decreasing. The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Saturday at 5.40 PM. As per the latest data, 02 were found positive in the district on 19 February. Also, 02 patients were discharged during the day. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has gone down to 05, out of which, 03 are in home isolation whereas 02 are admitted in various hospitals of the district. It needs mention here that none were found positive on Friday. The death toll in Cachar due to Covid has reached 36 this year.
As per the updated data, a total of 244 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 02 persons were found positive, whereas none were detected positive out of 119 RT-PCR Tests. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 Jan 2022 reached 6,417 whereas during this phase, 6,376 patients were discharged. Finally, there exists no active Covid-19 cases at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). The last 24 hours (5 PM on 18 February to 5 PM on 19 February) also did not witness the death any Covid-19 positive patient at SMCH. None were further detected positive during the day. This was informed by Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Saturday evening.
