2 COVID-19 positive cases reported in Karimganj on Thursday

July 9: On Thursday, the three districts of Barak Valley recorded a total of 66 new COVID-19 positive cases. From Karimganj, 2 positive cases were reported during the day. These two positive cases in Karimganj are: 28-year-old Sanjoy Das from Srirampur, P.O. Muktarampur (Badarpur Railway Station) in Karimganj. He has a travel history from Bangalore. His swab sample was collected on 7 July and the positive report came on 9 July. This patient is learnt to be asymptomatic.

Another new positive case from Karimganj is that of 27-year-old Rabia Begum, who hails from Patharkandi in Karimganj district. She is learnt to have developed Influenza Like Illness (ILI) and is not from any hotspot connection. This patient gave her swab on 8 July. Her positive result came on 9 July. She is symptomatic.
