1st hospital exclusively for cows in North East inaugurated in Assam

Nov. 22: A hospital exclusively for treating only cows, the first such endeavour in entire North East India has come up in Dibrugarh in Assam on Sunday. The cow hospital was inaugurated on the occasion of Gopashtami (occasion when Lord Krishna became a skilled cowherd) on Sunday by social activist, Sunil Agarwalla.

The hospital named, “Survhi Arogyashala’ was built under the aegis of Gopal Goshala, which shelters 368 cows, bulls and calves. The hospital is equipped with treatment as well as surgery facilities.
