1st Director CDC of Assam Univ & ex-Principal of various colleges, Aparajita Choudhury passes away

Jan. 25: First Director of College Development Council (CDC), Assam University, Silchar, Dr Aparajita Choudhury breathed her last at a private hospital on Tuesday morning. She was suffering from old-age related ailments. In her illustrious career spanning over decades, she also served as the 3rd Controller of Examinations (in-charge) of Assam University.  Dr Aparajita Choudhury also served as the Principal of GC College, Silchar, Rabindra Sadan Girls’ College, Karimganj and Women’s College, Silchar.

She served as teacher in the department of Philosophy for around three decades. It needs mention here that her husband Sunirmal Choudhury, was a teacher in the Department of Economics, Cachar College, Silchar, who too passed away a few months ago.

Dr Aparajita Choudhury is survived by her only son Sayan Choudhury. Her death was mourned by many.
