1st dedicated ambulance for cows in NE introduced in Assam’s Dibrugarh
May 1: Deputy Commissioner of Dibrugarh, Biswajit Pegu formally launched first dedicated ambulance for cows in the entire Northeastern region in India at the Gopal Goshala in Dibrugarh. “This cow ambulance will provide service to the sick and injured cows,” stated the Deputy Commissioner.
Nirmal Beria, president of Gopal Goushala said, “We bought the ambulance from Ahmedabad & the ambulance is fitted with a hydraulic lifting system which makes it easier to lift the cows. On several occasions, we could not save sick cows but now we hope that the ambulance service will help.”
The Gopal Goshala was established in 1901. In 2020 the Goshala started the first cow hospital in the entire Northeast.
