196 found +ve in Assam on Wednesday, active cases 956 in the state

July 6: On Wednesday, out of 1,758 tests, 196 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus stands at 7,25,677. The positivity rate in the state is 11.15 percent. Out of the 196 positive cases, 74 were detected from Kamrup Metro, 30 from Kamrup Rural, 20 from Dibrugarh and 15 from Darrang.

Further, on Wednesday, none died in the state due to COVID-19. The death toll in the state stands at 6,639. The recovery rate is 98.77 percent. 50 persons were discharged during the day. So far, 7,16,733 persons got cured and were discharged. There are at present 956 active Covid patients in the state.

It needs mention here that on Tuesday, 210 persons tested positive in Assam and no death was registered.
