1,857 vaccine doses administered to those between 15-18 years in Cachar on 3 January

Jan. 3: The ceremonial inauguration of Covid-19 vaccination drive for those in the age group of 15 to 18 years began on Monday at Narsing Higher Secondary School, Silchar. The drive was inaugurated by Silchar MP Dr Rajdeep Roy. During the inauguration, Dr Roy himself injected Covid vaccine to several school students in the age group of 15 to 18 years.

A total of 16 schools were earmarked in Cachar district on 3 January for administering Covid vaccine to the teenagers in the age group of 15 to 18 years. As per the data released by the district health department, a total of 1,857 persons (15 to 8 years) were provided the jab. The vaccination drive for the teenagers took place in the following 16 schools of the district on Monday:

1. Narsing HS School, Silchar: 260 doses administered
2. Bikrampur Goloknath HS School: 145 doses administered
3. DNNK HS School, Silchar: 241 doses administered
4. Govt Boys HS School, Silchar: 121 doses administered
5. Judisthir Saha HS School, Bikrampur: 169 doses administered
6. CCJC Palonghat HS School, Dholai: no doses administered
7. SL HS School, Dholai: 163 doses administered
8. NG HS School, Sonai: 70 doses administered
9. PC Barjalenga HS School: 38 doses administered
10. Sirajul Ali HS School, Dholai: 226 doses administered
11. Bam Naba Kumar HS School, Dholai: 20 doses administered
12. Indra Singh HS School, Harinagar: 39 doses administered
13. BK Dwarbond HS School: 37 doses administered
14. Dolu HS School, Borkhola: 132 doses administered
15. Earle HS School, Lakhipur: 92 doses administered
16. Salganga Morley High School: 104 doses administered
