175 Covid deaths in Assam in last 3 days including 77 on Monday

May 10: With a tragic turn of events, more and more people are losing their lives in Assam due to Covid-19. In the last three days, 142 persons in the state have lost their lives due to the deadly coronavirus. On 8 May, 50 people succumbed to Covid-19, 09 May recorded 48 more deaths and on 10 May, 77 persons lost their lives in the virus attack. The death toll due to coronavirus on Monday is the highest single day figure this year.

Out of the 77 deceased on Friday, 40 are from Kamrup Metro; 10 each from Kamrup Rural & Dibrugarh; 4 from Bongaigaon; 3 each from Golaghat, Nagaon, Nalbari & Sivasagar; 2 each from Hojai, Tinsukia & Udalguri; 1 each from Darrang, Dhubri, Jorhat, Sonitpur & Karimganj. The death tally of the state now stands at 1,753.

Apart from the 1,753 Covid deaths, another 1,347 Covid positive patients also died in Assam, but due to comorbidities.
