174 found Covid +ve in Assam on Wednesday, active cases 2,976 in the state

Aug 17: On Wednesday, out of 4,808 tests, 174 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus stands at 7,43,222. The positivity rate in the state is 3.62 percent. Out of the 174 positive cases, the high case load districts are: Kamrup Metro (26), Dibrugarh (16), Lakhimpur (15), Dhemaji (14) and Karbi Anglong (13).

Further, on Wednesday, none died in the state due to COVID-19. The death toll in the state stands at 6,669. The recovery rate is 98.5 percent. 185 persons were discharged during the day. So far, 7,32,218 persons got cured and were discharged. There are at present 2,976 active Covid patients in the state. On Tuesday, 202 persons were detected Covid-19 positive in Assam.
