এখন লকডাউন নয় কাছাড়ে, সভায় সিদ্ধান্ত
No Lockdown as of now in Cachar: DC 

২৩ জুলাই: এখনই কাছাড় জেলায় পূর্ণ লকডাউন হচ্ছে না৷ জেলা প্রশাসন আহূত সভায় এই সিদ্ধান্তই চূড়ান্ত হয়েছে৷ জেলাশাসক কীর্তি জল্লি এতে পৌরোহিত্য করেন৷ সাংসদ ডা. রাজদীপ রায়, বিধায়ক দিলীপকুমার পাল, বিধায়ক রাজদীপ গোয়ালা, এসপি বিএল মিনা এবং শহরের  বরিষ্ঠ ব্যক্তিবর্গ তাতে উপস্থিত থেকে আলোচনায় অংশ নেন৷ একটাই আলোচ্য বিষয়: কাছাড়ে কি এখনই লকডাউন জারি করা উচিত?

জেলাশাসক জল্লি শুরুতেই বলেন, কিছুদিন ধরে কোভিড আক্রান্তদের সংখ্যা বেড়ে চলেছে৷ এই প্রেক্ষিতে সোশ্যাল মিডিয়ায় অনেকে লকডাউন জারির দাবি করছেন৷ তবে লকডাউনে যে নিম্নবিত্তদের বড় কষ্ট হয়, এ কথাও সভায় জানান তিনি৷ এরপরই বিভিন্ন বক্তা নিজেদের অভিমত প্রকাশ করেন৷ শেষে চূড়ান্ত হয়, এখনই লকডাউন জারি করা হবে না৷ পরবর্তী সময়ে অবস্থা আরও খারাপ হলে ফের বৈঠক ডেকে সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া যাবে৷ এ দিনের সভায় উপস্থিত সবাই মাস্ক, দূরত্ব বজায়, হাত ধোয়া ইত্যাদি বিষয়ে কোভিড বিধি কড়াভাবে কার্যকর করার পরামর্শ দেন৷

সভাশেষে জল্লি জানান, করোনা অতিমারির দরুন বহু মানুষ ব্যবসায় মার খেয়েছেন, অনেকে কাজকর্ম ছেড়ে বাড়িতে বসে রয়েছেন তাদের কথাই এ দিন গুরুত্ব সহ আলোচনা হয়৷ শেষে স্থির হয়, এই সপ্তাহটা এইভাবেই কেটে যাক৷ আগামী সপ্তাহে ফের পর্যালোচনা করা যাবে৷

সাংসদ ডা. রাজদীপ রায় বলেন, সভায় কেউ কেউ ৩-৪ দিনের জন্য একটা লকডাউন দেওয়ার কথা বলছিলেন৷ কিন্তু শেষে সর্বসম্মত সিদ্ধান্ত হয়, এখন লকডাউন না করে কোভিড বিধি মেনে চলা হোক৷ বিধায়ক দিলীপকুমার পালও সভা থেকে বেরিয়ে বলেন, আমরা মাস্ক পরা, দূরত্ব বজায়, হাতধোয়া ইত্যাদি মানছি কোথায়! এ সব না মানলে শুধু লকডাউনে লাভ হবে না৷

July 23: Lockdown will not be imposed in Cachar as of now; however, the situation will be reviewed again and if the number of cases increase, then the decision may be reviewed. This was the crux of the meeting held in the conference hall of Deputy Commissioner, Cachar on Thursday evening. The meeting convened by Deputy Commissioner Keerthi Jalli was attended by MP Dr. Rajdeep Roy, MLAs of Cachar, leading citizens and members of commercial associations.

Later on speaking to journalists, DC Keerthi Jalli said, “Today we had a detailed discussion with the leading citizens of Silchar wherein the Honourable MP, MLA’s were also present. After a threadbare discussion, it was resolved that till now many daily labourers were affected much by the 1st lockdown. The economy and the business also went much down. Considering all these facts and based on the district administration’s preparation, it was recommended by the entire house that lockdown shall not be declared in this week. We will anylyse the situation in the coming days and if the situation gets deteriorated, then again we will review and take a mutual decision.”
