Meritorious girl students of Karimganj to be given scooties on 2-3 Jan at NC College, Badarpur

Dec. 28: Keeping to its promise, Assam government is distributing scooties to over 22 thousand meritorious girl students of the state. On 20 December, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal in presence of Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma kick started the ceremonial distribution of scooties to the girl students of Kamrup Rural & Kamrup Metro who had passed higher secondary final examinations in first division.

Now, the girl students of remaining districts of Assam are supposed to be given the scooties at district level functions on January 2 and 3, 2021.

Meanwhile, scooties under the Pragyan Bharati Scheme have arrived in Karimganj district of Assam for distribution among the meritorious girl students. ADC, Circle Officer, Inspector of Schools,  Dr. Mortuza Hussain, Principal of NC College, Badarpur and staff of DC office Karimganj were present when the scooties arrived. Dr. Mortuza Hussain,  informed that the beneficiaries of Karimganj district will be handed over the scooties from NC College after ceremonial district level function on 2 & 3 January, 2021.
