1665 tests Covid-19 +ve in Assam on Wednesday, 5 deaths registered

April 21: On Wednesday, out of 62,107 tests, 1665 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive. This is the highest single day total positive cases in the state in 2021. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 2,29,138. The positivity rate in the state is 2.68 percent. Kamrup (M) district registered 674 positive cases during the day. It needs mention here that on Tuesday, 1651 persons tested positive in Assam.

On Wednesday, 297 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 2,17,593, patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam. The recovery rate in the state is 94.96%.
