16 private schools in Silchar identified for providing vaccine to students of 15-18 years from 10 Jan

Jan. 9: Along with the rest of the country, vaccination drive for teenagers belonging to 15 to 18 years of age began on 3 January, 2022. Initially, district health department provided 1st dose of Covaxin in the government schools of Cachar. Now, those in age group of 15 to 18 years and studying in private schools of Silchar town will be administered Covid vaccine from 10 January, 2022 onwards. A detailed schedule has been prepared by the district health department and Inspector of Schools, Cachar.

The following is the schedule for vaccinating those between 15 to 18 years of Silchar town:

  1. Ramanuj Vidya Mandir: 10 January, 2022
  2. Pranabananda Holy Child School: 10 January, 2022
  3. Silchar Collegiate School: 10 January, 2022
  4. Sisgu Tirtha High School: 10 January, 2022
  5. Kendriya Vidyalaya, Chandmari: 10 January, 2022
  6. Oriental High School: 10 January, 2022
  7. Holy Cross HS School: 11 January, 2022
  8. Aryan Sr Secondary School: 11 January, 2022
  9. Central Sr Secondary School: 11 January, 2022
  10. BBD Sr Secondary School: 11 January, 2022
  11. Muktashree High School: 11 January, 2022
  12. South Point School: 11 January, 2022
  13. Paramount English Academy: 12 January, 2022
  14. Daffodils English School: 13 January, 2022
  15. Saraswati Vidya Niketan: 13 January, 2022
  16. Pranabananda Vidya Niketan: 13 January, 2022

Informing this to the respective head of the institutions, Inspector of Schools, Cachar on Thursday stated to ensure that all the students of age group of 15-18 years of their schools must be present on the day of vaccination and to get vaccinated. They were also asked to direct all the teachers of the school to be present and cooperate with the Health team on the day of vaccination and also to motivate the students to take the vaccine to achieve 100% target. The Head of the institutions of all the Schools were further asked to send the data of vaccination of students as per the format provided to them on the same day of vaccination.
