1,595 tests Covid-19 +ve in Assam on Saturday, 23 deaths registered

July 24: On Saturday, out of 1,18,889 tests, 1,595 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 5,57,437. The positivity rate in the state is 1.34 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 179 positive cases during the day. Further, on Saturday, 23 more persons lost their lives in the state due to COVID-19. With this, the death toll in the state reached 5,114. The recovery rate is 96.26 percent.

It needs mention here that on Friday, 1,621 persons tested positive in Assam and 15 deaths were registered.
