1560 patients discharged in Assam on Tuesday
August 18: On Tuesday, 1560 patients were discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care Centres in Silchar. With this, 58,294 were discharged from the state till now. In a tweet, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “1560 patients discharged today May God bless all recovered patients & their families with good health & long life. Best wishes.”
Further, during the day, 2534 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus cases in the state has gone upto 82,201, out of which, 25,261 are active cases. In a tweet, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Alert ~ 2534 #COVID cases detected today out of 44416 tests done in last 24 hours Positivity Rate- 5.7% Kamrup (M)- 498, Dibrugarh- 267, Cachar- 244, Kamrup (R)- 145.”
