1,523 tests Covid-19 +ve in Assam on Sunday, 3,261 discharged & 37 deaths registered
There are 25,790 active cases in the state
June 27: On Sunday, out of 55,131 tests, 1,523 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 5,00,644. The positivity rate in the state is 2.76 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 149 positive cases during the day. Further, on Sunday, 37 more persons lost their lives in the state due to COVID-19. With this, the death toll in the state reached 4,440. The recovery rate is 93.69 percent.
It needs mention here that on Saturday, 2,640 persons tested positive in Assam and 33 deaths were registered.
On Sunday, 3,261 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 4,69,067 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam. The recovery rate in the state is 93.69 percent. At present, there are 25,790 active cases in the state.

Further, during the day, 37 patients died in Assam due to COVID-19. Out of the 37 deceased, 07 each are from Dibrugarh & Jorhat; 05 from Sonitpur; 03 each from Golaghat & Tinsukia; 02 from Goalpara; 01 each from Barpeta, Biswanath, Cachar, Chirang, Hailakandi, Kamrup Metro, Majuli, Morigaon, Sivasagar & Udalguri. The death tally of the state now stands at 4,440.
