152 found Covid +ve in Assam on Friday, 2 deaths & active cases 3359 in the state

Aug 12: On Friday, out of 5,512 tests, 152 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus stands at 7,42,678. The positivity rate in the state is 2,76 percent. Out of the 152 positive cases, the high case load districts are: Cachar (20), Kamrup Metro (19), Dibrugarh (12), Goalpara (09) and Sivasagar (09).

Further, on Friday, 02 died in the state due to COVID-19. The deceased are from Jorhat & Sivasagar.  The death toll in the state stands at 6,669. The recovery rate is 98.47 percent. 290 persons were discharged during the day. So far, 7,31,293 persons got cured and were discharged. There are at present 3,359 active Covid patients in the state. On Thursday, 206 persons were detected Covid-19 positive in Assam.
