15 tests +ve in Assam on Friday, 42 patients discharged; 1 death registered

Jan. 15: On Friday, out of 8,400 tests, 15 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 2,16,777, out of which, 1,656 are active cases. The positivity rate in the state is 0.18 percent.

On Friday, 42 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 2,12,745 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam. The recovery rate in the state is 98.14%.

Further, during the day, 01 patient died in Assam due to COVID-19. The death tally of the state now stands at 1066.
