15 persons test +ve in Kamrup Metro, total rises to 79 in Assam

May  13: An alarming number of 15 persons were tested COVID-19 positive in Guwahati on Wednesday. Sharing this information, State Health Minister, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted, “Alert ~ 15 persons are tested #COVID19 + in Kamrup Metro. All are related to patient from Guwahati’s Fancy Bazaar, who tested + recently. All under quarantine and please dont panic.” This means that at present, the total number of COVID-19 positive cases in Assam stands at 79. Out of this 79 patients, 39 were already discharged and 37 are active cases.
