149 found Covid +ve in Assam on Sunday, 3 deaths & active cases 3,691 in the state

July 17: On Sunday, out of 1,423 tests, 149 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus stands at 7,30,143. The positivity rate in the state is 10.47. percent. Out of the 149 positive cases, the high case load districts are: Kamrup Metro (38), Sivasagar (25), Dibrugarh (55) and Cachar (23). Further, 23 persons were found positive in Cachar district on Saturday.

Further, on Sunday, 03 died in the state due to COVID-19. The deceased are from Kamrup Rural, Nagaon & Udalguri. The death toll in the state stands at 6,648. The recovery rate is 98.40 percent. 351 persons were discharged during the day. So far, 7,18.452 persons got cured and were discharged. There are at present 3,691 active Covid patients in the state.

It needs mention here that on Saturday, 672 persons tested positive in Assam and 01 death was registered.
