1440 patients discharged in Assam on Saturday
August 29: On Saturday, 1440 persons from various hospitals and Covid Care Centres were discharged in Assam on Saturday. With this, 82,510 patients got recovered and subsequently discharged in Assam. In a tweet, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “1440 discharge today 8 out of 10 patients are back home & as we strive to contain the spread, we request that you help our testing drive by volunteering.”
Also, 2427 persons tested positive in Assam. With this, 1,03,794 persons tested positive in the state till now. During the day, 158 persons in Cachar district were found positive during the day. Further, three more persons succumbed to the virus on Saturday, thereby taking the death toll of the state to 289.
