1367 tests COVID-19 +ve in Assam on Monday, 7 deaths registered
Active cases 6,316 in the state
April 19: On Monday, out of 65,410 tests, 1367 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 2,25,822. The positivity rate in the state is 2.09 percent. At present, there are 6,316 active cases in the state. Kamrup (M) district recorded 482 cases during the day.
On Monday, 312 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 2,17,017, patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam. The recovery rate in the state is 96.10%.

Further, during the day, 07 patients died in Assam due to COVID-19. The deceased are from Kamrup Metro (4 deaths), Baksa (01), Kamrup Rural (01) and Cachar (01). The death tally of the state stands at 1,142.
