133 detected COVID-19 positive in Cachar till 7 PM on Monday

14 persons from Cachar Cancer Hospital detected corona positive

August 24: Another 133 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Cachar district till 7 PM on Monday. A total of 846 Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) were done during the day, out of which, 81 persons tested positive. Whereas, another 52 positive cases were detected in two slots of RT-PCR Test (1st slot: 28 Positive & 2nd slot: 24 positive). Results of a few more slots of RT-PCR Test is yet to be declared. So this number may rise in the night. This was informed by Suman Choudhury, District Media Expert.

In the 1st slot of RT-PCR Test, 28 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive. Out of them, 14 persons were infected as they came in direct contact with high risk lab confirmed cases. They are 65-year-old female from Sunil Sarkar Lane at Rangirkhari, 25-year-old male, 34-year-old male & 50-year-old male from Rangirkhari Fire Brigade, 37-year-old male from Sudhir Chandra Sarani at Azad Hind Road, 17-year-old male from Rangirkhari; 12 years old child, 65 years old male & 45 years old female from Tarani Road, 26 years old male from National Highway, 18 years old male & 36 years old female from Maa Sarada Lane at Tarapur and 49 years old female from Tarapur.

Apart from them, 5 persons with travel history were also found positive during the day. They are 30-year-old female from SMCH (Air passenger from Guwahati), 29 years old male from BSF Camp Cachar (Air passenger from Delhi), 39 years old male from Madhurapul at Rongpur (Air passenger from Delhi), 45 years male from Lane No-10 at Link Road (Air passenger from Delhi) and 39 years old male from BSF Masimpur (Air passenger from Delhi).

Three pregnant women in near labour tested positive on Monday. They are 25-year-old female from Dewan Tea Estate (presently at SMCH), 25-year-old female from Chandrapur Part-3 (presently at SMCH) and 37-year-old female from Rakhal Khalerpar in Masimpur (presently at Masimpur).

Four more passengers tested positive in the 1st slot. However, their source of being infected is not mentioned in the SRF. They are 57 years old male from Tarani Road, 96 years old female from Rangirkhari, 35 years old male from Premtola, 45 years old female from Nutan Ramnagar in Sonai and 60 years old male from Jirighat Bazar.

In the 2nd slot of RT-PCR Test Results, 28 persons were found COVID-19 positive on Monday in Cachar district. Out of them, 4 persons are from the same family at Uday Nagar in Tarapur. They are a 26-year-old male, 19-year-old female, 28-year-old female and a 13-year-old male. All of them are asymptomatic. They came in direct contact with high risk lab confirmed case.

Two more persons tested positive during the day are air passengers from Guwahati. Their residence is at Ambicapatty. They are a 31 years old male and a 55 years old female. Another 56 years old female from Shyamananda Ashram Road was detected positive on Monday. She is symptomatic and came in contact with a lab confirmed case. A 29-year-old female from Ghoniwala, Malugram also tested positive. However, her source of getting infected was not mentioned in the SRF.

In the same slot, 13 persons from Meherpur, whose present address is Cachar Cancer Hospital & research Centre (CCHRC) were detected as COVID-19 positive on Monday. Majority of these 13 persons are symptomatic. They are a 62-year-old male, 46-year-old male, 56-year-old male, 38-year-old male, 58-year-old male, 22-year-old male, 39 years old male, 43 years old male, 62 years old male, 55 years old male, 48 years old male, 45 years old male and 44 years old female.

Further, 3 persons from BSF Masimpur were also found positive on Monday. All of them are symptomatic. They came in contact with lab confirmed case. They are 27-year-old male, 57-year-old male and 44-year-old male.
