13 more persons including 2 children tests +ve in Tripura, total rises to 29
May 04: All does not seems to be too well with the Notheastern state of Tripura. After 12 BSF jawans tested positive in Tripura on Monday, 13 more persons including two children were again reported to be infected with COVID-19 on Tuesday. Out of the 13 fresh COVID-19 cases in the state on 4 May, 11 belong to the 138 BSF Ambassa cantonment in and 2 are children. It needs mention here that on 3 May, 12 persons from the same 138 BSF unit Ambassa were found COVID-19 positive.
Tripura Chief Minister, Bilpob Kumar Deb tweeted, “More 13 persons including two kids of 138th-Bn #BSF Ambassa found #COVID19 positive. Total #COVID19 positive cases in #Tripura stands at 29 (2 already discharged, so active cases : 27). Don’t panic, follow the Govt guidelines and Stay at Home.”

In an appeal to the people of Tripura, its Chief Minister Biplob Deb said, “I request those who are residing normally at other states please stay calm and co-operate with the local administration until this Pandemic gets over.”
