মুখ্যমন্ত্রী এও জানিয়ে দেন, এ পর্যন্ত ১৬ জন কোভিড-১৯ রোগী শনাক্ত হয়েছেন রাজ্যে। এরমধ্যে সংক্রমণ মুক্ত হওয়ার পর ২ জনকে ছেড়ে দেওয়া হয়েছে। বর্তমানে রোগীর সংখ্যা ১৪। করোনামুক্ত ঘোষণার পর শনিবার ২ বিএসএফ জওয়ানের দেহে করোনা ধরা পড়ল৷ আজ পজিটিভ হন ওই একই ব্যাটেলিয়নের ১২ জন৷
May 03: It’s indeed a matter of great concern as news came in of 12 corona positive cases in Tripura in a single day. It is the highest single day detection of COVID-19 cases in Northeast India till now. The information was share by Chief Minister of Tripura in his official twitter handle at 9.44 PM on Sunday. This takes the total in the state to 16, though the number of active cases are 14.
Chief minister Bilab Kumar Deb tweeted, “12 persons from 138th #BSF unit Ambassa found #COVID19 positive. Total #COVID19 positive cases in Tripura stands at 16 (2 already discharged, so active cases : 14) Don’t panic, follow the Gov’t guidelines. We are working vigilantly for your safety.”

The Chief Minister has further urged upon the people of the state not to panic and follow the government guidelines.
