119 found Covid+ve in Karimganj on Saturday, 1 death registered

Jan. 22: There was a sharp rise in the number of Covid patients in Karimganj district. Karimganj registered 119 fresh COVID cases on Saturday. The district has currently 1,022 active COVID cases, while 43 patients were discharged on Saturday. 1,029 swab samples were collected during the day. It needs mention here that 179 persons were detected positive in Karimganj on Friday.

One Covid-19 positive  patient fro Karimganj died during the day. The deceased was identified as: Riyan Malakar (02 months), S/O Ramendra Malakar from Nilambazar in Karimganj district tested Covid positive and got admitted at SMCH at 8.50 PM on 21 January. The baby died at 9.50 AM on 22 January, 2022. This 2 months old baby was also suffering from bacterial infection in blood.
