1,182 tests Covid-19 +ve in Assam on Tuesday, 1,158 discharged & 13 deaths registered

Aug 3: On Tuesday, out of 1,54,102 tests, 1,182 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 5,69,439. The positivity rate in the state is 0.77 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 177 positive cases during the day. Further, on Tuesday, 13 more persons lost their lives in the state due to COVID-19. With this, the death toll in the state reached 5,307. The recovery rate is 96.88 percent.

It needs mention here that on Monday, 1,275 persons tested positive in Assam and 19 deaths were registered.

On Tuesday, 1,158 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 5,51,692 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam. The recovery rate in the state is 96.88 percent.  At present, there are 11,093 active cases in the state.

Further, during the day, 1 patients died in Assam due to COVID-19. Out of the 13 deceased, 03 are from Golaghat; 02 from Kamrup Metro; 01 each from Baksa, Barpeta, Dhemaji, Jorhat, Kamrup Rural, Nagaon, Nalbari & Udalguri. The death tally of the state now stands at 5,307.
