156 tests Covid-19 +ve in Assam on Sunday, 100 discharged & no death registered

Jan 2: On Sunday, out of 19,712 tests, 157 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 6,21,071. The positivity rate in the state is 0.79 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 78 positive cases during the day. Further, on Sunday, none died in the state due to COVID-19. The death toll in the state stands at 6,165. The recovery rate is 98.64 percent. Also, 100 patients were discharged during the day. At present, there are 974 active cases in the state.

It needs mention here that on Saturday, 150 persons tested positive in Assam and 01 death was registered.
