108 policemen tests Covid +ve after reaching Mizoram on completion of poll duty in West Bengal

April 29: The Assembly Election in West Bengal has left its scar in Mizoram also. Policemen from Mizoram were posted during the recently concluded Assembly elections in West Bengal. However, on returning back to the state, around 108 Mizoram Police personnel were detected as Covid-19 positive. Meanwhile, 17 from Assam Rifles, 3 from the BSF and 1 from the CAPF have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last two days. Mizoram now has 1,075 active cases, while 4,792 people have recovered from the infection.
