108 Mrityunjay gives yeoman service, caters to 9447 COVID-19 patients till May
June 4: The GVK EMRI 108 Mrityunjoy Emergency Service has been playing a vital role in the government’s fight against coronavirus pandemic. Till the month of May 2020, the 108 Mrityunjoy has catered to 9,447 suspected or confirmed COVID-19 cases in Assam. Further, in the month of May alone, they have given service to 6,455 positive or suspected patients.
In a statement issued by the GVK EMRI 108 Mrityunjoy Emergency Service, it was stated that they have catered to 37,158 emergency cases in the month of May. Apart from COVID-19 cases, the team of 108 ambulance service is also dealing with the flood-affected people. The statement further added that the entire emergency service management is working to the fullest extent to cater to each and every case throughout the state.
