10-year-old girl lost her life while plucking flowers at Rongpur

June 16: A tragic incident took place at early morning on Thursday in which a ten years old girl lost her life. The incident took place at Karatigram in Rongpur, Silchar. The girl lost her life while she was trying to pluck flowers in the morning.

As per reports, the girl identified as Sushmita Das (10) went out to pluck flowers for performing puja. She tried to climb a banana tree so that she could reach out to an adjacent flower plant. But suddenly she slipped and fell down from the banana tree and fell on the ground where there were some broken glass bottles. At once, her throat got slit by a glass bottle. The girl lost her life at the spot.

Later on, police was informed. Police forces reached the spot at around 8 in the morning. The dead body was recovered and sent to Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH) for post-mortem. However, her relatives are smelling foul and suspected this as a case of murder.
