1 patient on ventilator, 2 on oxygen support out of 10 active patients at SMCH on Wednesday

Dec 8: The Covid-19 situation in Cachar is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 7 December to 5 PM on 8 December) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Wednesday evening.

On Wednesday, a few doctors of SMCH tested positive for Covid-19. However, till 5 PM on Wednesday, no more doctors of SMCH were found positive.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 8 December, there were 10 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, 01 patient was put under ventilator support, and 02 were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 03 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 02 of them were discharged.
