1 more die due to Covid-19 at SMCH on Tuesday

Sept. 28: The Covid-19 situation in Cachar is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 27 September to 5 PM on 28 September) witnessed the death of 01 more Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Tuesday evening. The deceased was identified as:

• Joydhat Chhorei (75) from Magura in Karimganj district was admitted at SMCH on 18 September. The patient, however, breathed his last at 7.15 AM on 28 September.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 28 September, there were 23 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, no patient was put under ventilator support, but 03 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 03 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 01 of them was discharged.
