1 more death registered in last 24 hours at SMCH

Sept. 28: The coronavirus pandemic has now led to a procession of death also in Barak Valley. Since the last few days, the valley witnessed many deaths, although all of them were not certified as COVID-19 deaths. However, this also cannot be ruled out that all of them were infected with coronavirus. Those COVID positive persons who die due to comorbidities are usually not certified as ‘Covid-19’ death by the State Death Audit Board.

On Monday, Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH) informed that in the last 24 hours, the Valley witnessed 01 more death at Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH). The deceased is from Cachar district. The deceased was identified as:

• Rajina Bibi (42) from Shubang Tea Estate in Cachar was admitted in SMCH at 12.43 PM on 15 September. She, however, breathed his last at 11 AM on 27 September. Her death was certified as Non-Covid death by the State Death Audit Board.
