1 more Covid +ve patient die at SMCH on Monday
1 in ventilator, 2 in oxygen support out of 4 active cases at SMCH on Monday
Feb. 7: There has been a gradual decline in the number of daily positive cases in Cachar district. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 6 February to 5 PM on 7 February) witnessed the death of 01 more Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Monday evening.
The deceased was identified as:
- Braja Bihari Singha (81) tested Covid positive and was admitted at SMCH on at 12.49 AM The patient, however, breathed his last at 1.30 AM on 7 February 2022. The patient was suffering from hyponatremia, Type II Diabetes and COPD.
Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 7 February, there were 04 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, 01 patient was put under ventilator support, and 02 in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, no Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and also none were discharged. A total of 01 patient was detected positive in RAT at SMCH and none in RTPCR on Monday.
